It’s British Yorkshire Pudding Day!
Ah Yorkshire Puddings!
Every one is unique but equally delicious! And today is British Yorkshire Pudding Day, we thought it appropriate to show a photo montage of all the wonderful ways you can have the humble Yorkshire as a tasty meal at your wedding.
So if you’re a fan of the old pud, check out these creative ways of serving them to your wedding guests!
P.S. Keep a look out for links to our wedding suppliers who can provide some of these tasty offerings for your wedding!
Yorkshire Pud Tower instead of a cake
This would be a fabulous idea for those who don’t like actual sponge cake. Much along the same lines of a cheese wheel wedding cake, a Yorkshire pudding tiered cake would be a fab talking point for your guests and is a great savoury alternative. There was actually a couple who won an Aunt Bessie’s wedding cake back in 2016; check it out below.

Sunday Roast Puds
You can’t beat a Sunday roast, especially for a Winter wedding.
Your wedding guests will love tucking into a Yorkshire pud with all the trimmings, and gravy of course!

Miniature Yorkshire Pud Canapes
Anything tiny that can still be used to contain little morsels of loveliness is a winner in our book! Roast beef and horseradish are a firm favourite but we’ve also seen smoked salmon and even dessert filled miniature puds! That may be a step too far for even this adventurous wedding eater!

Giant Filled Yorkshire Puddings
Giant filled Yorkshire puddings are great because they’re basically a vessel you can eat after you’ve stuffed yourself with all the roast dinner contained inside them. They look pretty spectacular for a wedding menu too! Next question is, how much gravy can we actually fit inside them?

Toad in the Hole
Love Toad in the hole? How about a miniature version served perfectly as a canape while your guests are milling about. Even better with stuffing we think!

Yorkshire Pudding Wraps
Controversial but massively popular when first released, the Yorkshire pudding wrap is a Northern staple among Yorkshire pudding lovers. This would work really well as individual wedding food, which caterers are looking to focus on after the pandemic.

Whichever way you put it, there’s nothing better than the humble Yorkshire pud; it can be used as a vessel for pretty much any food if you’re brave enough!
Now, who’s inviting us to their Yorkshire Pudding fuelled wedding??
