Lloren & Jonathan
Amidnight proposal on London’s Tower bridge was followed 18 months later by a traditional church wedding for newlyweds Jonathan and Lloren Goodall.
The couple were married at All Saints Church, Misterton and then enjoyed a wedding reception hosted by Unique Occasions at Loversall Farm near Doncaster. Lloren said, “We wanted a wedding that was a representation of us as a couple. We had giant tipis in a wedding meadow which was the perfect backdrop for our own country life. Our table names were names of tents we have owned as we are avid campers.”
The wedding on Saturday June 16th, 2018 was organised entirely by Lloren after she had recovered from the shock of the Tower Bridge proposal. “It was totally unexpected. We had gone away to London for my birthday and the proposal was a wonderful way to end our day of sightseeing in the capital.”
The couple have been together for over 14 years and have two children – but still wanted to have the wedding of their dreams. “It was the most incredible day and not a thing went wrong. All our suppliers were wonderful and it was a very relaxed and wonderful day,” said Lloren.
For the ceremony, Lloren, who has lost three stone in weight ready for the big day and was given away by her mum Gill Moran, wore an ivory Princess style gown with a lace bodice, full tulle skirt, lace-up corset style back and diamante belt at the waist. She carried a rustic style bouquet of mixed pastel flowers and was attended by five bridesmaids who wore blush pink dresses and carried bunches of gypsophila.
The couple’s son Jackson ( aged seven) was a pageboy and their daughter Myla (aged five) was the flower girl.
Lloren said, ” When my mum was getting re-married, my sister and I went with her to look for a dress. I picked out a gown which I really loved. Later when I got engaged, I went back to the bridal shop with a photo of the dress and amazingly they still had one. It must have been fate.”
After the service, the couple and their guests enjoyed a fabulous reception in the wedding meadow at Loversall Farm and Jonathan and Lloren spent their wedding night in the venue’s Hideaway Hut. After being served delicious canapes, all the guests enjoyed a traditional roast beef dinner, followed by dessert. In the evening, the celebrations continues and everyone enjoyed a party with a hog roast supper.
In keeping with their wedding colour theme, the couple had a three tier wedding cake decorted with flowers, raffia and cupcakes.
Following the big day, the couple enjoyed a honeymoon to Iceland and a also planning a family holliday to the Greek island of Rhodes.
Lloren said, “We really did have a fabulous day after all the hard work of planning the wedding. We both loved every minute of our special day and it was wonderful to finish off the day with photographs in the sunset.”
