A Sheffield Spa Escape
At the Mercure Sheffield Kenwood Hall Hotel & Spa

After a busy wedding exhibition season and feeling more than a little frazzled, the I Do Team were delighted to be invited to the Mercure Sheffield Kenwood Hall Hotel & Spa to review their brand new relaxing spa and enjoy a bit of rest and relaxation in the process.
Upon arrival, the three of us (myself, Heather & Olivia) enjoyed a two course meal in the relaxed restaurant setting at Kenwood Hall. The meals were all fantastic, with belly pork, salmon and steak among the dishes. And who could turn down pudding when crumble is on the menu!
All fed and watered, it was time to don our white robes, comfy slippers and head to the spa!
Treatments: Spoilt for Choice
In order to fully review the spa, myself, Heather and Olivia all chose different treatments
Heather went for: De-Stress back and Shoulder Rescue & Hydramemory Facial
Olivia had: Bespoke Full Body Massage & High-Performance Facial
I went for: Luxury Back, Neck & Shoulder Massage & Lower Leg Massage

Between the three of us we pretty much covered most of the fantastic treatments on offer at the spa! Before the relaxation could begin, we each had to fill out a form, noting down any problem areas we wanted working on;
Then Heather & Liv went straight in for their facials while I enjoyed the relaxing views of the venue and grounds in the pool area;

This facial is completely personalised to suit the individual’s skin needs, and takes into account age, protection, hydration, purification and soothing.
Liv commented saying how fresh her face felt and she floated back into the relaxation area following her treatments.
Heather’s hydramemory facial using the Comfort Zone products gave her baby soft skin she says, and left her feeling totally cleansed and refreshed.
A bit of info about the Hydramemory facial: Using advance massage techniques and Cryo spoons to reduce to appearance of fine lines, this facial tones and cools the skin. The combination of lactic acid, Hyaluronic Acid and Bio Active Prickly Pear gave Heather an instant glow and the boost of hydration she needed.
For Heather’s back, neck and shoulder massage, Phoebe focussed on the tightness areas you get from sitting at a desk all day and really loosened Heather’s neck and shoulders, leaving her able to move more freely with less sitffness.
We didn’t catch a photo whilst I had my back massage, but the lower leg massage was AMAZING! I do a lot of high impact dance classes so my legs and feet take a battering. Having never had a lower leg massage before, I didn’t realise how tight my calves were. Lucy worked her magic and my legs and feet felt so loose and unwound after.
Following my luxury, back, neck and shoulder massage and lower leg massage, I don’t think there was a single area of tension left in my body.
A Day of Total Relaxation
Following our treatments, the three of us went back to the relaxation area, where Lucy made us all a cup of tea and left us to bask in a post massage haze.
It really was needed after a busy year at I Do; both Phoebe and Lucy were friendly and attentive and explained each treatment clearly at the start. Liv was new to massages but it’s safe to say she’s now addicted and we may be paying Mercure Sheffield Kenwood Hall Hotel’s Spa a visit again very soon!
We had to grab a pic with Lucy from the Spa Team before we left for the day, though it was hard to give the soft robes back!
