From mismatched styling to formal evening wear and hues of blue to bold burgundies, here’s our round up of the latest menswear for the modern groom.
Keep it Casual
If you’re not the traditional or formal type, then why not keep it cool with a casual ensemble? If it suits your wedding style, then forget the top hat and tails or morning suit, throw caution to the wind and go for a two-piece. During the summer months, you could drop the jacket all together and rool your sleeves up for a cool casual summer look.
Black is back, from smart suits to tuxedos, but more than just a black suit, tuxedos are back with a new look for the new season; sticking with black lapels but changing up the colour too bright blues and burgundies.
Tweed, is still a firm favourite and can be suited to both formal and casual style weddings. Popular colours includes traditional greens and browns, along with greys, blues and pastels.
Whether the groom opts for velvet accents such as a bowtie, braces or pocket square, or goes all out with their entire outfit in rich burgundy velvet, this fabric is looking to be a popular choice amongst modern grooms. Blue may be stealing the show at the moment, but burgundy is creeping n for both full suits and accessories. Watch this space!
Still a firm favourite for groomswear is the colour blue, and although navy has been a mainstay for a long while, we’re seeing an uptake in brighter blues, along with pale and pastel blues.
Mix & Match
Many grooms are throwing the rule book of a traditional matching 3 piece out the window and opting or a mismatched suit for the big day, with contrasting colours and patterns including check and paisley, for a unique look to remember.
