Couples want to know more about where their food comes from these days. So free-range and locally bred/sourced foodie fare is a must for the wedding menu. With the increase in vegan culture and focus largely heading towards meat free, many newlyweds are opting for a one size fits all approach with their wedding menus. No more separate menus for those who don’t eat meat; couples are creating menus to bring everyone together to experience a totally plant-based wedding menu.
Food served in tiny proportions is looking to be a big hit in new season weddings. Many couples are opting for scaled down versions of their favourites, so their guests can snack and converse at the same time. Mini doughnuts, quiches, slider burgers and chocolate dipped strawberries are just a few of what’s trending in miniature!

Brunch weddings are creeping up on the radar for the new wedding season. With the increase in mid-week weddings, couples are also opting to get married earlier in the day to cut costs. Think scaled down American pancakes with maple syrup and mini egg sandwiches for a proper brunch fix.
